Coffee the crop that has been Tanzania’s pride which is exported and popular throughout the world is farmed with limited resources. The farmers struggle with water, transport, irrigation systems and despite putting in the efforts they earn low incomes whereas the same coffee after it gets exported to coffee shops all over the world earns millions of income. My artwork was done with a lot of emotion for the farmer who struggles but is overlooked while we sit at coffee shops sipping and savouring the delicious coffee from Tanzania not giving a thought as to where and how this was farmed.
